Once upon a time, Wynne Adams was a gawky, quiet kid with a love of books. After reading some books that were, in retrospect, likely more mature than they should've been reading, they went rabid for romantic thrillers and suspense.
Enter: the box of notebooks hidden in the back of her closet. In those notebooks were the first stories she ever wrote——stories of kidnap and murder, drama and romance, vulnerable but strong heroines, flawed but growing heroes.
As much as she loved the books she was reading, and the books she was writing, she hid them away. They worried that if anyone found out what they were writing, people would see them as demented, unhinged, sick.
But then Wynne grew up, and she rediscovered her love of reading and writing via romance——specifically, queer and dark-ish to dark romance——and she realized that the stories that made her heart pound (for one reason or the other) didn't make them demented. They were her means of processing the pain in her life, and her escape from it——from loneliness, anxiety, mental and physical health struggles, and from the ever-darkening real world she had to face day in and day out.
And anyone who would clutch their pearls and wag their fingers about the stories she wrote?
Well, with all due respect. ✨fuck them✨!
Wynne Adams Romance is about creating the queer characters Wynne never got to see growing up, and telling thrilling stories of survival, determination, loyalty, growth, and acceptance——plus a bit of adrenaline and spice, tales naughty and nice, just for fun. ✌️
